Helping Others To Succeed Inc., provides services to individuals with disabilities, economic disadvantages and other barriers to community inclusion and employment. Our mission is to enhance the lives of the person served and their families while guiding them through the right path of community integration, self advocacy, independence and quality care.
Founded in 2012, HELPING OTHERS TO SUCCEED INC. has been serving the local community for over 12 years. We have grown and offer a wide range of Home Community-Based Services and programs to support independence and wellness.
Our team of field associates are all highly trained and dedicated to providing the best possible service. We believe in a collaborative approach in providing Companion and Homemaking services, and work closely with each consumer to achieve their goals.
At HELPING OTHERS TO SUCCEED INC., we believe that health is more than just the absence of disease. That's why we take a holistic approach to health, addressing both physical and mental well-being.
It is the policy of Helping Others To Succeed that the confidentiality of current and former persons served be protected throughout all legal procedures which may involve verbal and/or written communication between employees of the organization and outside legal entities.
It is the policy of Helping Others To Succeed that all full and part-time employees, contractors, students, volunteers (collectively referred to as “associates”), and members of the governing authority are expected to perform their designated functions in a manner that reflects the highest standards of ethical behavior. The ethical standards contained in this policy shape the culture and norms of Helping Others To Succeed’s administrative operations and practices, and both staff and members of the governing authority will be held fully accountable to these standards. In addition to the specific guidelines contained in the policy, professionals are expected to follow the ethical standards required by their specific licensing and certification boards. The Code of Conduct Policy is to ensure that all employees’ actions reflect a competent, respectful, and professional approach when serving our consumers, their families and/or representatives, working with other providers of services, and interacting within the communities we serve. It is expected that staff and members of the governing authority will perform their duties in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations in accordance with guidelines set forth in this policy. Violation of guidelines within the Code of Conduct Policy can lead to disciplinary actions, including termination of employment.
Helping Others To Succeed is committed to providing an organizational milieu that seeks to accommodate the needs of all persons served, employees, and stakeholders. Central to this commitment is the removal of architectural, attitudinal, employment, and other barriers that may impede full access to the services and programs of the organization. This Accessibility Plan corresponds to Helping Others To Succeed INC internal evaluation of barriers through the use of facility inspections, assessments of need, and consumer, stakeholder, and employee feedback. The Accessibility Plan is an annual plan, reviewed and endorsed by Chief Executive Officer.
It is the policy of Helping Others To Succeed to assign responsibility for operational implementation of risk management, and to assess for potential and actual risks to persons served, to the public, to associate members, and to the overall working and service delivery environment and facilities. Assessments will result in preventive measures and interventions that will serve to reduce risk and loss within the organization.
Helping Others To Succeed is committed to long-range planning to ensure service continuity and, therefore, to a formal and periodic risk management process as a method to identify loss exposures, analyze and evaluate loss exposures, identify a strategy to be taken to counter any potential loss, implement the most effective strategy, provide ongoing management/governance oversight of the efficacy of decisions made regarding risk management/loss prevention activities, and implement any necessary changes as may be indicated by a changing service and/or business environment.
Helping Others To Succeed Inc is committed to providing high quality person-centered rehabilitation services to the persons served by the organization. This organization demonstrates an awareness of, respect for, and attention to the diversity of the people with whom it interacts (persons served, personnel, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders) that are reflected in attitudes, organizational structures, polices, and services.
The organization’s cultural competency and diversity plan addresses how it will respond to the diversity of its personnel, stakeholders and persons served taking into consideration to support the collective beliefs, practices and accommodations of our diversity community, as well as how the knowledge, skills, and behaviors that will enable personnel to work effectively cross culturally by understanding, appreciating, and respecting differences and similarities in beliefs, values, and practices within and between cultures.
Helping Other To Succeed focuses on the whole person concept. The organization supports the provision of culturally appropriate services in respect to culture, gender, ethnicity, religion, spirituality, age, sexual orientation, language, disability and socioeconomic status and strive to develop, monitor an improve effective, culturally competent services and treatment methods.
It is the policy of Helping Others To Succeed to maintain a well-structured supervisory system, designed and maintained in a manner that enhances the skills and abilities of the supervised associates, and result in an increase in the quality of services provided. In addition, it is the policy of Helping Others to Succeed to utilize the supervisory process, along with the corporate compliance program, to ensure that all ethical and confidentiality policies and procedures are being met and are consistent with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation guidelines. A variety of methods will be utilized to maintain a well-structured supervisory system that includes direct observation, individual meetings, chart reviews, performance evaluations, and facilitation of a peer review process.
It is the policy of Helping Others To Succeed Inc to inform and train all users regarding the acceptable use of technology equipment, information, responsibilities, and security. The main objectives for acceptable use ensure:
ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
POLICY: The agency will attempt to provide appropriate assistive technology to staff and persons served with disabilities. We are committed to training staff on how to most effectively use assistive technology to improve quality services. Training is accomplished via in-person, one-on-one, group presentations, or on your own through work or home study.
INTENT: Multiple methods of assistance for staff, clients, and other stakeholders will be available upon reasonable request, ability to meet request, and options available. Cost will be a factor upon ability to meet need.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Assistive technology is defined as any item, piece of equipment, or product, whether acquired commercially, off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
